History
The German National Committee on Global Change Research (NKGCF) was set up in 1996 by the German Research Foundation (DFG) in close collaboration with the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Since 1997, the work of the National Committee is supported by a Scientific Secretariat that receives financial support from the DFG.
